Why is it important to reuse?
Reusing items - repairing them, using them for other
purposes instead of disposing them, donating them to charity
and community groups, or selling them - reduces waste.
Did you know?
• A household that uses a broom and sponge to clean
instead of paper towels and other disposable supplies,
can save $665 year
• 2-5% of waste is potentially reusable
• 1/3 of the waste generated in the U.S. is packaging
• Every year Americans use enough plastic to shrinkwrap
the state of Texas
What items can you reuse?
• Don’t throw out shoe boxes! They make great
organizers and storage boxes.
• Reuse gift bags, wrapping paper, and shipping boxes.
• Shop with a reusable shopping bag and if you don’t
have one with you, be sure to reuse plastic bags.
Here’s how we can go green…and save some green!
If 50,000 Jazzercisers used reusable cleaning products
instead of disposables, we’d save a combined total of
$33,250,000 a year!
